New Home for Wriggly Pup
She sussed out where her bed was within the first hour. Well I say ‘her bed’ but I mean the spot on the settee where she prefers to snooze. Her actual beds are elsewhere, in her crate, in the kitchen, in the back room, in the bedroom. She has plenty of proper beds, beds made for puppies and she does occasionally use these – when she’s made to or when she remembers they have a tempting tag or label for chewing.
Much of the first week has consisted of a cycle of play, snooze, eat, wee, play, snooze, eat, wee. Luckily we both had time off work to get her settled but it is dawning on me that this will be a long haul.
Its good to have a young spirit around the house. I had forgotten how full of energy, how ready to run (or scamper), how willing to play and how easily tempted to naughtiness young pups can be, and Willow is no exception. Not sure how the ‘older’ spirits in the house will bear up to this onslaught.
